In a bid to enhance efficiency and accountability during the Lok Sabha's Question Hour, Speaker Om Birla has urged members to keep their queries concise. By doing so, Birla hopes to address more questions within the limited time available.
The Speaker's request came to the fore as BJP MP Devusinh Chauhan spoke on the government's commitment to clean energy. Birla intervened, emphasizing the need for brevity and a focus on the core issues.
Question Hour, which is the first hour of a Lok Sabha session, allows MPs to question ministers about government activities. These questions are categorized as 'starred' for oral answers, often followed by supplementary questions, or 'unstarred' for written responses.
