An investigation is in progress after four country-made explosives were discovered on the property of K Prakash, a local LDF election candidate, in Kumbadaje on Thursday, as per police statements.
The shocking revelation unfolded when one of the devices detonated after being bitten by Prakash's pet dog, leading to the animal's death. Prakash promptly informed authorities, who then uncovered three additional explosives during their search.
Preliminary findings suggest the explosives were intended to kill wild boars, which cause significant crop damage. However, police are pursuing a thorough investigation. Prakash has been questioned, and he claims ignorance regarding the explosives on his land. Badiadka police have indicated they plan to charge a case under the Explosives Act.
