The Rajasthan government has announced a comprehensive investigation into allegations implicating three legislators in a scheme involving unlawful commissions on MLA funds.
Officials have since frozen the involved MLA LAD accounts until the probe reaches its conclusion, following media revelations about BJP MLA Revantram Danga, Congress MLA Anita Jatav, and independent MLA Ritu Banawat's alleged corrupt activities.
In his statement, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized the state's strict zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, assuring that those found guilty, irrespective of their status, will face consequences. A high-level committee, spearheaded by the state's chief vigilance commissioner, will lead the investigation.
