In response to a spate of fog-related accidents, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed senior administrative and police officials on Wednesday to bolster safety measures against dense fog and cold-wave conditions.

The initiatives come on the heels of Tuesday's accidents, which included a catastrophic chain-reaction crash on the Yamuna Expressway killing 13 people and injuring many others. Officials are now on 'high alert' to prevent further incidents.

The Chief Minister emphasized maintenance of streetlights, installation of reflectors, and other road-safety enhancements to manage the hazardous weather effectively.
