Luthra Brothers Remanded in Custody Over Tragic Goa Nightclub Fire

Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra, co-owners of the Goa nightclub 'Birch by Romeo Lane,' have been remanded in police custody following their deportation from Thailand. Accused in a fire tragedy that claimed 25 lives, the brothers were presented in court after undergoing health checks.
The Judicial Magistrate First Class Puja Sardesai in North Goa ordered a five-day police custody. Their arrest follows charges including culpable homicide not amounting to murder, related to the December 6 incident.
The Luthras fled to Thailand but were detained and deported after authorities issued an Interpol Blue Corner Notice. The Goa police have also arrested five staff members as investigations continue.
