In a swift operation, Karachi police arrested a suspect within 18 hours after gold and jewellery were stolen from the Lakshmi Narayanan temple in Nabil Baksh Dholi Khata area. The successful arrest was facilitated by both CCTV footage and mobile location tracking.
ASP Faiz Samoo confirmed the recovery of valuable items including gold and other artifacts. The suspect admitted to engaging in similar thefts at smaller temples throughout the city.
The incident attracted significant attention after the Pakistani Hindu Council lodged a formal complaint, prompting immediate police action. The area is noted for its ancient and revered Hindu temples, receiving regular offerings from worshippers.
