BJP Urges Jharkhand to Maximize Union Budget's Benefits
BJP leader Arun Singh called on the Jharkhand government to fully leverage the Union Budget's allocations, totaling Rs 51,236 crore for tax devolution in 2026-27, to boost development. He emphasized the potential benefits of proposed projects, especially for women and fisheries, while criticizing the state for alleged corruption.

Arun Singh, BJP's national general secretary, urged the Jharkhand government, led by the JMM alliance, to effectively utilize the Union Budget for the state's development. In a press conference at the BJP headquarters, Singh highlighted key budget proposals aimed at empowering women and improving infrastructure.
Among the proposals is the establishment of a women's hostel in every district, alongside initiatives like 'Drone Didi' and 'Lakhpati Didi' to elevate women's roles within the community. Furthermore, the promotion of fisheries through the creation of 500 water reservoirs under the Amrit Sarovar scheme is set to benefit Jharkhand significantly.
Singh also pointed out plans to expand the Central Institute of Psychiatry in Ranchi, aligning it with NIMHANS standards, which will serve the mental health needs of Jharkhand and neighboring regions. He criticized the state government for alleged corruption and challenged them on the utilization of Rs 11,567 crore allocated for capital investment.
