A 22-year-old Indian postgraduate student has been reported missing in California, prompting an urgent search by authorities. Saketh Sreenivasaiah, who attended UC Berkeley and is originally from Karnataka, vanished on Tuesday, according to local media citing the police.

His belongings, including his backpack, passport, and laptop, were discovered at a Park Hills neighborhood doorstep. The Berkeley Scanner reported the incident, which has raised concern among local and international communities. The Indian consulate in San Francisco expressed their grave concern in a statement shared on X, affirming their commitment to assisting in the search efforts alongside local authorities.

According to police, Sreenivasaiah was last sighted on the 1700 block of Dwight Way. Police describes him as approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall, 73 kilograms, with short black hair and brown eyes. Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact local law enforcement immediately.
