The Karnataka government has appealed to the Ministry of External Affairs to assist in locating Saketh Sreenivasaiah, a 22-year-old Indian postgraduate student who disappeared in California. The plea includes coordination with local law enforcement and support for his family.

Enrolled in a Master of Science program at the University of California, Berkeley, Saketh has been missing since the morning of February 12. Despite a formal complaint filed with the Berkeley Police and ongoing investigations, his whereabouts remain unknown.

The situation is causing considerable distress for his family in Karnataka, who have requested state support. His father is contemplating traveling to the U.S. as efforts continue to trace Saketh's location.
