Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, Union Minister for Panchayati Raj, today inaugurated the Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) Pavilion at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to deploying artificial intelligence for stronger, transparent and citizen-centric grassroots governance.
The inauguration took place in the presence of Shri Samrat Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar; Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, Minister for Industries & Road Construction, Government of Bihar; Ms. Shreyasi Singh, Minister for Information Technology & Sports, Government of Bihar; Shri Sanjay Kumar Jha, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha); and senior officers of the Ministry.

Nukkad Natak Brings AI to the Gram Sabha in a Cultural Format
A key attraction at the Pavilion is the Nukkad Natak titled:
“Sarpanch ki Chaupal, AI ka Kamaal”
The street play creatively illustrates how AI can strengthen Gram Sabha functioning through structured documentation, transparent decision-making and authentic governance processes.
Under the Summit theme “Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya”, the Ministry’s interventions focus on empowering communities while ensuring participatory democracy at the grassroots.
SabhaSaar: AI-Based Gram Sabha Minutes in Local Languages
SabhaSaar facilitates AI-driven recording and transcription of Gram Sabha meetings, enabling automated preparation of structured minutes in local languages.
