During an Assembly session on Thursday, Congress MLA Nizam Uddin Bhat criticized the directive, advocating for its immediate revocation, which was echoed by fellow Congress MLA Ghulam Ahmed Mir.

Conversely, BJP MLA Satesh Sharma supported the order, emphasizing the need for monitoring. Kishtwar District Magistrate Pankaj Kumar Sharma highlighted the obligation to ensure donations serve their intended purposes and are not misused.
