Punjab National Bank (PNB) organized a major facilitation camp in New Delhi on 17 February 2026 as part of the Government’s newly launched ‘Salary Account Package for Central Government Employees’ initiative, aimed at strengthening financial security and improving banking convenience for government staff.
The camp was held at the Department of Financial Services (DFS) premises in the Jeevan Deep building and brought together all Public Sector Banks (PSBs) in a collaborative outreach effort.
The event was inaugurated by Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary, DFS, along with the Managing Director and CEO of PNB, and was attended by senior officials from DFS and participating banks.
Government Push for Financial Outreach to Employees
Speaking at the event, Secretary Nagaraju said the initiative reflects the Government’s commitment to ensuring effective access to integrated financial services for Central Government employees.
He appreciated the coordinated role of PSBs in delivering customized banking solutions and urged employees to actively participate in such camps to take full advantage of the benefits offered under the package.
The facilitation camps are being rolled out across government office buildings nationwide as part of a broader outreach strategy to build awareness and enable smooth enrollment.
Nationwide Camps Across Ministries and Departments
