In a significant offensive, Pakistani security forces eliminated 15 terrorists during two strategic operations in Balochistan, according to the Pakistan army's media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The first operation, conducted in Harnai district, resulted in the death of 12 militants after troops targeted a 'Khawarij' hideout. The term 'Khawarij' refers to a historical group known for violence, now used to describe elements of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
In another operation in Basima district, forces used a mix of calibre weapons to engage the terrorists, leading to the elimination of three more individuals along with the seizure of their weapons and explosives. The region continues to grapple with insurgency challenges, frequently facing attacks by groups like the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and TTP.
