Optimism in Court: West Bengal Electoral Roll Revision

Chief Justice Surya Kant and the bench noted the establishment of 19 new appellate tribunals aimed at settling disputes over voter list inclusions and exclusions. These tribunals will soon begin operations after an orientation program in Kolkata.

The court emphasized fair processes and the necessity for timely remuneration for judicial officers, directing the Election Commission to accommodate tribunal housing needs and resolve pending objections by early April.
