Delhi Police has filed an FIR against certain social media influencers and unidentified individuals over the alleged unauthorized circulation of FSSAI's official documents. The complaint, lodged by an FSSAI representative, highlighted potential tampering of these documents on social media platforms.

According to the complainant, the unauthorized spread of the documents could be an attempt to damage the organization's reputation, possibly involving collaboration from insiders. Consequently, a case was registered under appropriate sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Information Technology Act.

As part of their probe, police are safeguarding digital evidence and have issued notices to platforms, including microblogging site X, to obtain account details linked to the dissemination of the content. "We are thoroughly examining the authenticity of the documents," stated an official.
