A woman in the Civil Lines area has filed an FIR accusing a neurosurgeon of inappropriate conduct during a medical examination, according to local police. The case was registered on Thursday under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including assault and wrongful confinement.
The complaint claims that during a late-night visit, the doctor allegedly asked the woman to disrobe, leading to claims of molestation. The accused, Dr. Kartikeya Sharma, refuted the allegations, asserting that a female attendant had been present, and that CCTV footage would back up his version of events.
Dr. Sharma suggested ulterior motives behind the accusations, hinting at extortion. He also claimed that the woman had prior psychiatric issues. As the investigation continues, both parties await further developments.
