A Nauru-flagged cargo vessel suffered a drone strike by Russian forces in Ukraine's Odesa region, the regional governor announced on Thursday.

The attack ignited a fire in one of the ship's containers. The crew successfully extinguished the flames, allowing the vessel to resume its course, Governor Oleh Kiper stated on Telegram.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported, highlighting the volatile situation in the strategic Black Sea region.
