Hunt Ends: Fugitive Caught in 2023 Dombivli Murder Case

In a breakthrough in the 2023 murder case in Dombivli, police have finally apprehended a fugitive suspect who had eluded capture for over two years. The accused, Deepak Karkade, was taken into custody in Nanded district where he had been working as a mason to disguise his identity.

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Suhas Hemade, the police tracked down Karkade despite his continuous efforts to change locations to evade arrest. His name came up during investigations following the recovery of Somnath Shinde's body, which bore signs of a violent assault.

Karkade, alongside accomplices Villan Vishnu Thaware and Yogesh Timappa Dongre, is accused of murdering Shinde by brutally attacking him with a stone after an argument over alcohol. The police continue to delve deeper into the case as they piece together the events leading up to the crime.
