In a shocking event, a Delhi Police head constable, Neeraj, was taken into custody after allegedly shooting Pandav Kumar, a 21-year-old delivery agent, in the chest. The incident, which also left Kumar’s friend Krishan injured, took place in Jaffarpur Kalan area, officials confirmed on Monday.
The shooting unfolded following a heated argument near Neeraj's residence, around 2:30 am when the victims were returning from a birthday celebration. Kumar succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, while Krishan is receiving treatment, according to police reports. Neeraj, although linked with the local police unit, was not on duty at the time.
The accused fled the scene immediately, prompting a manhunt that led to his arrest within 24 hours. Multiple police teams utilized local intelligence and raids to capture Neeraj, and a case of murder and attempted murder was registered. Authorities are actively investigating the case to uncover the precise events leading to the tragedy.
