Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge criticized the government, alleging its policies have led to rampant unemployment and stagnant wages. The party is demanding the revival of MGNREGA, a national minimum wage of Rs 400 per day, and a broader scope for labour rights, including job and health security for workers.
According to Congress, the Modi government’s strategies have sparked unrest in various industries and caused a crisis among educated professionals due to the sale of PSUs and policy failures affecting MSMEs.
