State Police Chief Ravada V Chandrasekhar announced robust security measures across Kerala ahead of the Assembly election vote counting scheduled for May 4. Speaking at a police sub-inspectors' passing-out parade, he emphasized the deployment of forces statewide to maintain peace.
To enhance security on counting day, authorities are implementing CCTV and drone surveillance. Central forces are set to guard counting centers, while Kerala Police manage the outer perimeter. These precautions aim to mitigate post-election violence.
Chandrasekhar also highlighted intensified patrols in politically volatile areas. Instructions have been given to take strict action against lawbreakers. Polling for Kerala's 140 Assembly seats was conducted on April 9, with results expected on May 4.
