Zelenskiy Pitches Efficient Drone Defense Deal to Bahrain Amid Middle East Tensions

Ukraine's President, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, recently visited Bahrain to propose a significant drone defense agreement, emphasizing Ukraine's expertise in handling drone threats.

Following the outbreak of hostilities involving the U.S. and Israel against Iran, Ukraine has been actively offering its tried-and-tested drone technology to nations in the Middle East, notably those affected by Iran's Shahed drone strikes. Ukraine's know-how comes from its prolonged experience countering massive drone offensives from both Iranian and Russian sources.

In discussions with Bahrain's King, Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa, Zelenskiy expressed Ukraine's readiness to share its security wisdom, given Ukraine's ongoing struggle against similar threats. Kyiv and Bahrain have begun ironing out the specifics of this prospective drone collaboration, as Ukraine seeks to fortify its diplomatic relations in a region traditionally influenced by Russia.
