An intense search is underway in Jharkhand as police announced a Rs 50,000 reward for any information on the whereabouts of an 18-month-old girl missing from Khorha Colony since Saturday. Despite extensive searches, police have yet to trace her.
Authorities suspect the toddler could have fallen into a nearby drain, but CCTV footage shows she did not leave the house. Complicating the search are family claims of a ransom call from alleged abductors.
Jharkhand BJP state president Aditya Sahu has pledged support to the family and demanded police action within 36 hours. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has ordered an intensified police effort as NDRF teams join the search operation.
