Despite four policemen being suspended, two home guards relieved of duties, and the transfer of the Balaipatna police station's inspector in charge, the Congress is pushing for action against senior officials, including the Commissioner of Police.

Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) President Bhakta Charan Das took to social media, highlighting the wave of brutal murders in Balipatna and Balianta. He accused saffron groups of inciting violence and criticized law enforcement's inaction. The Congress insists on immediate state government intervention to restore law and order.
