Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered an immediate 50% reduction in the fleet of vehicles accompanying him and his ministers. This change is part of a wider initiative urging citizens to conserve fuel and reduce unnecessary expenditures amid current global challenges.
In a high-level meeting, Adityanath emphasized the adoption of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's austerity measures across the state. Key strategies include promoting work-from-home practices, virtual meetings, and expanding the use of public transport like UPSRTC buses and metro services.
Additionally, the Chief Minister called for greater domestic engagement through initiatives such as the 'Visit My State' campaign and promoting local products. These efforts aim to mitigate economic pressures and bolster sustainability efforts throughout Uttar Pradesh.
