A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a biryani vendor inside a hotel in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, according to police reports. The accused, Baheri resident Mujahid, aged 25, has been apprehended following the complaint lodged by the survivor.
The incident, which took place around 11 pm on Thursday, has drawn significant attention, with the Bhaharhi Circle Officer Arun Singh confirming the registration of the case under section 64(1) (rape) of the BNS and the POCSO Act. As Mujahid undergoes interrogation, the victim has been sent for a medical examination.
