Smooth Sailing: Pakistan Facilitates Repatriation Amid U.S.-Iran Tensions

Pakistan has arranged the repatriation of 11 Pakistani and 20 Iranian nationals from vessels seized by the U.S. amid ongoing tensions with Iran. The individuals were routed through Singapore and Bangkok to Islamabad. Amid seizures and confrontations, Pakistan plays a mediating role in the U.S.-Iran conflict.

Pakistan has successfully repatriated 11 of its citizens and 20 Iranians following their detention on vessels seized by U.S. authorities. The operation, confirmed by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, routed the individuals via Singapore to Bangkok before reaching Islamabad.

The Iranian nationals are expected to continue their journey back to Tehran once administrative processes are complete. 'All individuals are in good health and high spirits,' said Minister Dar in a social media update.

This development comes amid ongoing tensions between the U.S. and Iran, which have included naval standoffs and vessel seizures. Pakistan continues to mediate in efforts to de-escalate the situation and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, crucial for global energy shipments.
