SAWS Forecasts Cool to Warm Weather with Isolated Rain in Eastern South Africa

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has forecast partly cloudy and cool to warm conditions across most parts of the country for Monday and Tuesday, with isolated showers and rainfall expected mainly over eastern regions.
According to SAWS, no severe weather alerts or adverse weather advisories have been issued for Monday, indicating generally stable weather conditions nationwide despite pockets of cloud cover and scattered rainfall activity.
Weather officials indicated that while most provinces are expected to experience mild autumn conditions, areas in Mpumalanga, Limpopo, and parts of KwaZulu-Natal could see isolated showers and thundershowers accompanied by cloudy conditions and morning fog patches.
In Gauteng, Pretoria is expected to experience fine weather during the morning, becoming partly cloudy later in the afternoon. Temperatures are forecast to range between a minimum of 11°C and a maximum of 23°C, with a moderate UVB Sunburn Index expected.
Johannesburg is also forecast to remain fine before becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon, with temperatures ranging from 7°C to 22°C. Similar weather conditions are expected in Vereeniging, where temperatures will range between 7°C and 21°C.

North West province is expected to experience generally fine conditions. Mahikeng will remain fine before partly cloudy conditions develop during the afternoon, with temperatures expected between 8°C and 23°C. Vryburg is forecast to be slightly warmer, with temperatures ranging from 7°C to 24°C.
In the Free State, Bloemfontein is expected to remain fine before partly cloudy conditions develop later in the day, with temperatures forecast between 7°C and 21°C.
The Northern Cape will continue to experience relatively warmer conditions compared to other provinces. Kimberley is forecast to see temperatures between 9°C and 23°C, while Upington is expected to reach a warm maximum of 27°C under mostly fine conditions.
In the Western Cape, Cape Town is expected to begin the day with cloudy conditions and morning fog before becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon. Temperatures will range from 13°C to 19°C, accompanied by light and variable winds. The city's UVB Sunburn Index is expected to remain low.
Along the Garden Route, George will experience partly cloudy conditions with temperatures between 12°C and 19°C, while light and variable winds are expected to prevail.
In the Eastern Cape, Gqeberha is forecast to experience morning fog patches followed by partly cloudy conditions. Temperatures are expected to range between 12°C and 19°C. Winds will initially remain light and variable before strengthening into light to moderate north-easterly winds and later shifting westerly in the evening.
East London will remain partly cloudy throughout much of the day, with light to moderate north-easterly winds becoming fresh during the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to range between 14°C and 22°C.
KwaZulu-Natal is expected to experience more active weather conditions compared to other regions. Durban is forecast to remain partly cloudy, with light to moderate south-westerly winds becoming south-easterly during the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to range between 17°C and 23°C, while the UVB Sunburn Index is forecast to be moderate.
Richards Bay is expected to experience cloudy conditions with isolated showers and thundershowers. Winds will initially be light to moderate southerly to south-westerly before shifting south-easterly during the afternoon and becoming lighter by evening. Temperatures are forecast between 17°C and 24°C.
Pietermaritzburg is likely to experience morning and evening fog, with partly cloudy conditions during the day accompanied by isolated showers and thundershowers. Temperatures are expected to range from 9°C to 25°C.
Meteorologists have advised residents in areas affected by fog and rainfall to exercise caution while travelling, particularly during early morning and evening hours when visibility may be reduced.
