Narendra Modi has called on Indian states to address inter-state water conflicts by embracing cooperation, prompt clearances, and technology-backed monitoring. He highlighted the Ken-Betwa project as an exemplary model during the recent PRAGATI meeting.

Reviewing infrastructure projects worth around Rs 30,000 crore, Modi noted that project delays lead to cost hikes and hinder access to essential services. He encouraged states to explore integrated approaches for river-linking, water conservation, and efficient irrigation to ensure water security.

Modi also reviewed the Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0, urging states to speed up the development of waste management systems. Additionally, he advocated for adopting rooftop solar power in urban settings, citing its benefits for reducing electricity costs and enhancing energy security.

The Prime Minister emphasized creating a future-ready logistics ecosystem through initiatives like multi-modal port development. He stressed the importance of proactive, time-bound execution by central and state governments for infrastructural advancements.

Addressing broader themes, Modi proposed innovative canal uses such as solar panel installation for clean energy, illustrating the potential for optimizing resources and generating economic value.
