KCR in process to chart out strategy to provide Minimum Support Price to farmers

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Tuesday instructed officials concerned to work out a strategy to provide Minimum Support Price to farmers for their farm produce
According to an official release, the officials shouldwork out the strategy taking into account the initiativesbeing taken by the State Government to provide irrigated waterto 1.25 crore acres and develop the irrigation sectoraccordingly
Rao suggested that through close coordination ofAgriculture, Horticulture, Marketing and Civil Suppliesdepartments and by providing minimum support price to thefarmer the departments should work to make agriculture in thestate profitable.
