NCP's Jayant Patil alleges Rs 20k scam land scam in Maharashtra

Maharashtra Nationalist CongressParty chief Jayant Patil Friday alleged that 2,808 hectares of land under Urban Land Ceiling was "gifted" to builders, and claimed it was a "Rs 20,000 crore scam"

Speaking in the Assembly on supplementary demands, Patil claimed several decisions were taken in a cabinet meeting on November 16 last year, including one in which ULC land meant for affordable housing for the poor was handed over to various industries at nominal fees.
