Farmer found hanging in Banda

A 40-year-old farmer, who was under debt, was found hanging in his house in Uttar Pradesh's Banda district on Tuesday morning, police said. The incident occurred at Barethi Kalan village under Jaspura area, Circle Officer Alok Misra said.

The deceased's family told the police that Nanku had taken a loan of Rs 1 lakh from a bank and another loan of the same amount from local money lenders. Nanku had recently received a recovery notice from a bank and this could be the reason behind his decision to commit suicide, his family told the police. PTI CORR SAB AD
