Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi on Thursday hailed the 'clarion call' given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address to the nation on the occasion of the 73rd Independence Day. Bedi who has been pitching for 'green Puducherry, clean Puducherry' said in a whatsapp message that this call would "encourage a huge number of cloth bag manufacturing industries and also Swachh Bharat." The former IPS officer who is also keen about making Puducherry 'water rich', said the appeal made by the Prime Minister would encourage availability of water.
