Biden says military upgrade with Japan most significant since alliance began

U.S. President Joe Biden announced on Wednesday the United States and Japan are taking steps to modernize their military command and control structures in Japan to increase their forces' interoperability and planning.
Biden also told a joint White House news conference after summit talks with Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida that Japan and the United States and Australia will create a network system of air missile and defense architecture.
He called the military upgrade with Japan the most significant since the alliance was established.
