Georgia's main opposition leader beaten during protest

Levan Khabeishvili, the leader of Georgia's main opposition party, the United National Movement, was badly beaten after disappearing during a protest against a bill on "foreign agents" in the capital, Tbilisi, on Tuesday, a party official told Reuters. The party official said Khabeishvili was receiving medical attention.

Pictures published by Georgian media showed Khabeishvili with his face bloodied and with a black eye.
