"The results are clear... I want to congratulate victory to those who won," Pendarovski told a news conference.
Pendarovski who had the backing of the ruling Social Democrats (SDSM) secured 29.42% of the vote. Siljanovska-Davkova, who had the support of the opposition rightist VMRO-DPMNE party, was backed by 64.52% of voters, the state election commission said after counting 71.44% of the ballots.
