The BJP on Saturday filed a complaint with the Election Commission, accusing RJD president Lalu Prasad of violating the model code of conduct. The BJP alleges Prasad attempted to influence voters by entering the booth with a 'gamcha' bearing the RJD's poll symbol.
The official complaint, endorsed by several BJP office bearers, including legal cell head SD Sanjay, claims this act is a breach of the Representation of People Act and the Model Code of Conduct.
The BJP has consequently requested the registration of a case against the former Chief Minister of Bihar, citing the need for stringent action.
