Exit polls across India indicate a strong preference for Narendra Modi to assume the role of Prime Minister for a third consecutive term, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced on Saturday.

According to multiple exit polls aired since the evening, the BJP-led NDA is expected to secure a significant majority in the Lok Sabha elections, with Modi likely to retain power. Sai highlighted that the sentiment has been consistently positive for the BJP and Modi, with expectations for Modi and the BJP to win all 11 seats in Chhattisgarh.

Conversely, Bhupesh Baghel, a senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister, expressed confidence that his party would outperform the BJP in Chhattisgarh. Baghel criticized the exit polls as a 'game of TRP,' and sarcastically noted that it was 'good they did not predict 12 seats for the BJP in the state.' Chhattisgarh experienced a notable 72.8% voter turnout across its 11 Lok Sabha seats, with voting conducted in three phases on April 19, April 26, and May 7. The results are expected on June 4.
