BJP Dominates Jharkhand: Key Figures Lead Lok Sabha Races
The BJP appears to be leading in the Jharkhand Lok Sabha elections, with significant lead margins in nine seats, while their ally AJSU Party leads in one. Opposition parties Congress and JMM are trailing but holding leads in key constituencies. Counting is underway amid heavy security arrangements.

The BJP is showing strong leads in nine Lok Sabha seats across Jharkhand, with their ally AJSU Party ahead in one seat. Meanwhile, the Congress and JMM each lead in two seats as per the latest available trends.
Union Minister Arjun Munda is trailing in Khunti against Congress's Kalicharan Munda by approximately 40,000 votes. In Singhbhum, JMM's Joba Manjhi leads Geeta Kora of the BJP by 64,654 votes after four rounds of counting, according to ECI officials.
Former DGP and sitting BJP MP VD Ram is leading by 85,340 votes over Mamata Bhuiyan of the RJD in Palamu. In Dumka, BJP's Sita Soren is ahead by 12,057 votes over JMM's Nalin Soren.
Sitting BJP MP Nishikant Dubey leads by 5,734 votes over Pradeep Yadav of the Congress in Godda. BJP's Bidyut Baran Mahto has a substantial lead of 1,19,236 votes in Jamshedpur over JMM's Sunil Kumar Mohanty.
Union Minister Annapurna Devi is ahead by 44,478 votes in Koderma over CPI (ML) Liberation's Vinod Kumar Singh. BJP's Manish Jaiswal leads from Hazaribag by 51,956 votes over the Congress candidate. In Rajmahal, JMM's Vijay Hansdak leads by 16,990 votes over BJP's Tala Marandi.
AJSU Party's CP Chaudhary is leading in Giridih by 33,688 votes over Mathura Mahto of JMM. Sukhdeo Bhagat of Congress is ahead by 12,876 votes over BJP's Samir Oraon in Lohardaga.
BJP's Dulu Mahto is leading by 48,395 votes in Dhanbad over Congress's Anupama Singh, while Sanjay Seth leads by 39,603 votes over Congress's Yashaswini Sahay in Ranchi.
Vote counting began at 8 am for the 14 Lok Sabha seats and one assembly by-election in Jharkhand under heavy security arrangements. In a total of 244 candidates are vying for seats.
According to Jharkhand Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) K Ravi Kumar, Chatra and Koderma will have 27 rounds of counting each, while Khunti will have the minimum at 16 rounds.
The election season in Jharkhand saw a voter turnout of 66.19% over four phases from May 13 to June 1. During the 2019 polls, BJP won 11 out of the 14 Lok Sabha seats.
