Historic Victory: NDA Sweeps Andhra Pradesh Elections

The NDA, comprising Telugu Desam Party (TDP), BJP, and Janasena, is set to form the government in Andhra Pradesh. TDP has made significant gains with 12 seats won and leads in 121. Chandrababu Naidu celebrated the victory, extending congratulations to PM Modi and Amit Shah, who reciprocated the sentiments.

Celebrations erupted at the offices of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), BJP, and Janasena across Andhra Pradesh as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is poised to form the government in the state.

Latest figures from the Election Commission indicate that TDP has won 12 seats and is leading in 121, Janasena has secured two and is ahead in three, while BJP has clinched one segment and is leading in seven.

TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu, along with his family, marked the occasion by cutting a cake. His son Lokesh, who is leading in the Mangalagiri Assembly segment, was also present.

Naidu extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Cabinet colleague Amit Shah for the NDA’s impending victory in the Lok Sabha elections. Modi and Shah reciprocated, congratulating Naidu on the alliance's triumph in Andhra Pradesh.

Party members and leaders of the three coalition partners celebrated across the state.

“It is history rewritten. We are getting a thumping majority in all the Assembly segments in Guntur Parliamentary constituency,” said Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, TDP candidate from the Guntur Lok Sabha seat.

As part of a seat-sharing agreement, TDP contested in 144 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha constituencies, while BJP fielded candidates in six Lok Sabha and 10 Assembly seats. Janasena contested two Lok Sabha and 21 Assembly seats.
