In a significant political development, actor Kangana Ranaut has won the Mandi constituency of Himachal Pradesh, marking her first successful bid as a BJP parliamentarian.
According to the Election Commission, as of 4:50 pm, Ranaut garnered 5,27,463 votes, leading by a margin of more than 73,703 votes over her nearest competitor, Vikramaditya Singh of the Congress.
The four-time National Award-winning actor celebrated her exit poll advantage by posting on Instagram and sharing a moment with her mother, Asha, who fed her a sweet dish. Ranaut's post conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Mandi, attributing her win to their trust in Prime Minister Modi, the BJP, and the principles of Sanatan Dharma.
