Siddaramaiah Declares Modi's Popularity Diminished: No Moral Right for PM

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah criticized Narendra Modi, stating he lacks the moral authority to be prime minister again. He highlighted the significant decrease in Modi's popularity evident from the Lok Sabha election results. Siddaramaiah also noted that the BJP failed to achieve a simple majority, securing fewer seats compared to previous elections.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has asserted that Narendra Modi lacks the moral rights to continue as Prime Minister, citing the recent Lok Sabha election results as evidence of a diminished 'Modi Wave'.

During a press conference, Siddaramaiah pointed out that BJP's seat count has fallen from 282 in 2014 and 303 in 2019, to around 240 in the latest polls, indicating a significant decline in popularity.

He alleged that Modi resorted to divisive tactics towards the end of the campaign, targeting caste and religion, but these strategies failed. Siddaramaiah also credited Rahul Gandhi's leadership for Congress' increased vote share.
