Delhi Erupts in Joy as Narendra Modi Secures Third Term

The BJP in Delhi celebrated Narendra Modi being elected as NDA Parliamentary Party leader, confirming his third term as prime minister, with drumbeats and fireworks. The celebrations, led by Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva, saw mass festivities including dances, sweets distribution, and fireworks in different parts of the national capital.

In a vibrant display of celebration, the BJP in Delhi marked Narendra Modi's election as the NDA Parliamentary Party leader for a third consecutive term as prime minister with an array of festivities, including drumbeats and fireworks.

The announcement came during a meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Central Hall of Parliament, where Modi was unanimously elected as the leader of the NDA Parliamentary Party, the BJP Parliamentary Party, and leader of the BJP in the Lok Sabha.

Led by its chief, Virendra Sachdeva, Delhi BJP leaders and workers congregated at Red Cross Road to celebrate Modi's undeniable win. The atmosphere was charged with joy as people danced to the beat of drums and distributed sweets. In the evening, the celebrations intensified with fireworks at several locations across the national capital.

Sachdeva acknowledged the overwhelming sense of joy enveloping Delhi and the entire nation. “People are eagerly awaiting to see Modi take the oath as prime minister for the third time,” he commented.

Marking the occasion, the seven newly-elected BJP MPs from Delhi held victory processions. Notably, Chandni Chowk MP Praveen Khandelwal led a grand procession from Chandni Chowk market to Ajmeri Gate, which drew hundreds of spectators, entrancing them with a spectacular fireworks display at Gauri Shankar temple and Ajmeri Gate Chowk.

Similarly, New Delhi MP Bansuri Swaraj celebrated her victory at Hauz Khas market, while other MPs such as Harsh Malhotra, Yogendra Chandoliya, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, and Ramvir Singh Bidhuri hosted fireworks displays to share the joy of their triumphs.
