V K Pandian Bids Adieu to Politics: A Heartfelt Farewell to Odisha

V K Pandian, former bureaucrat and close aide of Naveen Patnaik, announced his withdrawal from politics after a short stint. Following BJD's defeat in recent elections, Pandian expressed apologies and gratitude, highlighting his journey and dedication to the people of Odisha and his mentor, Naveen Patnaik.

In a surprising move on Sunday, former bureaucrat V K Pandian announced his withdrawal from active politics just six months and 13 days after joining. This decision follows the BJD’s electoral losses in both the assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Pandian clarified that his only intention in joining politics was to assist Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. In a heartfelt video message, he apologised to the people and BJD members, expressing regret if his involvement contributed to the party's defeat.

Emphasizing his loyalty and gratitude, Pandian reflected on his background and service to Odisha, stating he will always keep the state and his mentor at the core of his heart.
