Narendra Modi's swearing-in for a historic third consecutive term as Prime Minister underscores a message of political and economic stability amidst global uncertainties, according to USIBC President Atul Keshap.
Modi, leading a 72-member Union Council of Ministers under the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance, took the oath on Sunday. This marks a significant milestone as he becomes the first leader since 1962 to achieve this feat.
Keshap emphasized that Modi's third term reaffirms the Indian electorate's endorsement of pro-growth policies, positioning India as a pivotal democracy and partner to the United States.
Ronak D Desai from Paul Hastings law firm pointed out that Modi's continued leadership ensures consistency in US-India relations, which have been meticulously cultivated over the years across various sectors.
The Foundation for India and Indian Diaspora Studies (FIIDS) expects India to advance towards becoming the third-largest economy and a significant global power during Modi's term, with initiatives like Make In India and Digital India playing crucial roles.
