BJP President J P Nadda on Tuesday formally assumed charge of the Union Chemicals and Fertilizers Ministry, a crucial portfolio in the government.
Taking over from BJP leader Mansukh Mandaviya, Nadda, allocated the ministry shortly after his oath-taking as a cabinet minister, also manages health responsibilities. He held the health portfolio in Modi's first term before leading the party as its working president and then as a full-fledged president from 2020.
Nadda's political journey spans decades starting from the ABVP to various significant roles within the BJP, including being elected to the Rajya Sabha and becoming a key figure in election campaigns across states.
