BJP Rallies in Bilaspur Against Courtroom Shooting

The BJP's state unit organized a large rally in Bilaspur on Saturday, expressing outrage over a shooting incident targeting one of its activists outside a local court on Thursday.

The incident involved two individuals on a motorbike who allegedly shot at Saurabh Patyal, currently on trial for attacking Congress leader Bamber Thakur earlier this year.

Addressing the crowd, BJP state president Rajeev Bindal criticized the Congress government for allegedly protecting criminal elements, citing rising crime rates in several districts. Bindal emphasized that the public felt unsafe under the current regime, while former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur insisted that the BJP would continue its movement until justice is served.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Bamber Thakur staged a counter-rally, accusing BJP MLA Trilok Jamwal of conspiring to kill him.
