Ukraine Embarks on EU Membership Journey Amid Ongoing Conflict

In a move described by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a 'dream come true' for Ukrainians amidst ongoing conflict with Russia, Ukraine is set to officially launch membership talks with the European Union on Tuesday.
Leading the delegation at an intergovernmental conference in Luxembourg is Deputy Prime Minister Olga Stefanishyna, who will spearhead efforts to align Ukraine's laws and standards with those of the 27-nation bloc.
Similarly, Moldova will commence its own separate intergovernmental conference to launch its EU accession process, marking the start of a complex and lengthy journey for both nations.
