Ukrainian and Hungarian Diplomats Discuss Peace Summit Amidst Tensions
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba updated Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto on battlefield conditions and the upcoming peace summit in Ukraine. He emphasized that peace initiatives cannot be based on Russia's narratives. The discussion follows visits by Hungarian PM Viktor Orban to Kyiv, Moscow, and Beijing for a 'peace mission'.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba briefed his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto on Wednesday about battlefield conditions and preparations for an international peace summit in Ukraine.
'No peace initiatives can be based on Russia’s narratives,' Kuleba stated firmly on X, formerly Twitter.
The meeting comes after Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's recent visits to Kyiv, Moscow, and Beijing, which he described as part of a 'peace mission'. Notably, Ukraine revealed that talks in Moscow were not coordinated with Kyiv.
