White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan has stated that numerous crucial details must be addressed to finalize a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, which includes the release of hostages from Gaza.
Sullivan cautioned that while the deal isn't 'immediately around the corner,' it also 'does not have to be far out in the distance' if all parties are committed.
Sullivan noted there has been no shift in U.S. policy concerning the pause in shipments of 2,000-pound bombs to Israel. President Joe Biden is set to give an update on the ceasefire negotiations soon.
